March 8th every year marks International Women's Day, where we recognise and celebrate the achievements of women all over the world and throughout history. The day also represents the continued fight for equality, to eliminate discrimination and bias between genders.
First celebrated in the early 1900's in America, the day is now celebrated worldwide to honour the women who have impacted history culturally, economically and politically.
We are excited to celebrate this day as it is of a great benefit to young girls to see women in a variety of spaces making a difference in the world. This serves to encourage and inspire young girls and to remind them that they can do whatever they put their mind to regardless of any limitations society tries to place on her.
We believe that empowered women inspire girls, who then grow up to be empowered. The cycle will continue and to all the inspiring women empowering girls, we say THANK YOU!
